Orders:

Because we have many years of experience. We are an officially registered vehicle manufacturer, and we have the authorization of brands such as Volkswagen and Renault which is a confirmation of the high standard of realized vehicles. Before our constructions go to the market, they undergo very rigorous quality and functionality tests. We use components of well-known brands. Besides, the Wavecamper is probably the most functional campervan in the world – for more information, see the description of the models.

For construction we are using factory-new, customer-configured vehicles from an authorized VW or Renault dealer network. These are van-type vehicles in truck or passenger versions.

Unfortunately, there is no such possibility. Our production sites are set up for specific vehicles, already specified from the factory level, which are then subject to further development. Vehicles supplied by the manufacturer most often have such additional equipment as appropriate glazing, single front seats with swivel function, additional battery and others. A vehicle b delivered by the customer does not ensure its proper specification, which in turn disrupts the entire RV production process at our plant.

Due to signed contracts with vehicle suppliers and sizable order volumes, our company has preferential terms for purchasing new base vehicles. Therefore, it will be more profitable to order a ready-made vehicle with a Wavecamper body from us or from our dealers.

You can order directly from us or through the Wavecamper dealer network (a map of the dealer network can be found in the contact – dealers tab). An initial conversation and identification of the customer’s needs allows us to suggest a suitable Wavecamper model.

The waiting time for a new Wavecamper configured by a customer is currently about 10 months. The deadline is due to the long waiting period for delivery of the base car from the factory and the need to reserve a date in our company’s production schedule. Many of our dealers have base vehicles ordered as well as booked dates for the construction at our plant, which can helps speed up the process. Usually, this is done with the possibility of modification of car specifications, as well as your car conversion.

Sometimes it happens that we our dealers have some ready-made Wavecampers with certain specifications available for sale. It is always worth asking!

Yes, both we and our dealers offer a wide range of financing options.

Details on the amount of deposits and how they are to be made are agreed individually by each dealer.

That’s right! We exhibit at major trade shows, where you can see our models live, get advice from qualified salespeople and order a Wavecamper. Customers can often benefit from the special trade show promotions Visiting the fair is also a good opportunity to compare Wavecampers with other competitors’ products in one place.

The registration process is most often handled by the dealer. The Wavecamper is registered as a motorhome with a certain number of seats depending on the version (4, 5 or 6). The equipment of our vehicles (bed, table, kitchen, and others) qualifies it as a motorhome, not a passenger vehicle.

The customer picks up the Wavecamper from the dealer he placed the order with, or at our company in the case of a direct order. Before leaving the factory, the vehicle undergoes a detailed inspection of the implementation of the body (more than 220 points). During the release of the vehicle, the salesman provides instruction on the use of the various elements of the body.

Service/Warranty:

In the event of a breakdown of the base vehicle or the conversion, the repair can take place at any authorized service center of the manufacturer (VW or Renault). It is also possible to repair the conversion at our dealers – caravanning companies. We also cooperate with several camper services, which can be helpful in certain cases due to their close locations. In addition, our conversion is equipped with a number of products from reputable brands with extensive service networks (e.g. Webasto, Eberspacher, Dometic, Fiamma, SCA).

Yes, signed agreements with base vehicle suppliers give our company authorization. This means that the conversion does not affect the course and terms of the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty.
As a rule, the standard warranty period for the base vehicle and the conversion is 2 years. Often, you can take advantage of the base vehicle manufacturer’s offer and optionally extend the warranty on a given vehicle, extending its course.

All components used for the conversion, have all needed certificates. This applies to seats with their fastening system in the floor, seat swivels, sleeping roofs, heating, electronic components and others. Following strict rules and using certified products is an indispensable condition for receiving authorization from the manufacturers of the base vehicles on which we build our Wavecampers.

Technical:

Standard equipment includes an additional AGM-type battery (75Ah for VW and 90Ah for Renault), which provides power for, for example, LED lighting, 12V/USB sockets, water pump, refrigerator, parking heater and others. As an option for VW, a 100Ah LiFePO4 battery can be used. The auxiliary battery in the Wavecamper charges in 3 ways: 1. While the engine is running, when a special device registers the appropriate level of charge of the engine battery, then it will transfer some energy from the alternator to the auxiliary battery. 2. When plugged into an external CEE/DEFA230V outlet (e.g., at a campsite). 3. using solar panels (optional for VW, standard for Renault). The Wavecamper is equipped with a device that monitors the level of charge of the additional battery. This gives us full control over it. In addition, some devices such as a refrigerator or heating have built-in protection to prevent complete discharge of the additional battery.
No, there is no such possibility. The motor battery is adequately protected against this. Otherwise, there would be a danger of its complete discharge. This, in turn, could result in the inability to move after a completed stay at a campsite, for example. In addition, the motor battery is slightly assisted (recharged) by a solar panel.
The 230V outlet is powered by an external power source, so when plugged into an external CEE/DEFA outlet, there will be current in the 230V outlet in the built-in. Optionally, you can choose to install an inverter, which will provide us with 230V current from an additional battery.
We use top-quality inverters from Dometic and Büttner Elektronik with continuous power of 600 watts or 1500 watts. A 600-watt inverter will allow you to power smaller appliances, such as a TV, laptop charger and others. If you have an increased demand for electricity (such as the desire to use a kettle or a capsule coffee maker), we recommend choosing a 1500 W inverter.
For the VW Wavecamper, it is discreetly located under the engine cover (for the CEE socket) or in the front bumper (for the DEFA socket). In the case of the Renault Wavecamper and the Mercedes Wavecamper, it is a CEE socket, located on the side of the vehicle in the rear.
No. The refrigerators installed by us are powered only by 12V current. At the same time, they are very efficient and cost-effective units.
First of all, efficiency. During the summer, the temperature in a closed vehicle often exceeds 70 degrees Celsius, which never happens in a domestic environment. The refrigerators we use are so efficient that they will cool despite such high temperature, which is impossible with home refrigerators. Besides, Dometic and Vitrifrigo refrigerators have a special 12V compressor, which is adapted for use in a vehicle (shock resistance). They also feature much better insulation and specially selected software, making them very economical.
This depends on several factors: the number of active devices consuming electricity, as well as the temperature (refrigerator). In addition, it depends on whether the Wavecamper is equipped with a solar system or not. Assuming standard power consumption (operation of the refrigerator, sometimes heating, water pump, lighting, charging phones from USB sockets) with a new battery, there should be enough energy for a minimum of 2 days. The use of solar installation can significantly extend this time, but it depends on the sunshine. From our experience, we know that in bright sunshine with two solar panels and with standard power consumption as described above, you can stand completely independent – which means that solar will replenish the used energy. Remember that you always have the option to connect to a 230V power source via an external CEE/DEFA socket, which will charge an additional battery.
For the conversion, we use a Diesel-powered parking heater located in the in the car’s tank. Electricity is only needed to start the heater (to heat the candles), operate the blower and control the heater.
The controller inside the vehicle allows you to set the temperature, heating operation time (or continuous operation with maintenance of the set temperature). It is also possible to program the start and stop of the heater, for example, in winter when we set off for work and want to get into a heated vehicle. Optionally, it is possible to add a module that allows you to control the heating via an application on a mobile device.
The fuel consumption for heating the vehicle is about 2l per day, depending on outdoor conditions.
In the case of accommodation with an enclosed sleeping roof, which, due to its design and mattress provides additional insulation, you can sleep comfortably even at temperatures of – 20 degrees. Our campervans are perfectly thermally insulated as standard. In case of minus temperatures, it is worth getting thermal mats for the windows. With the roof raised, sleeping on the lower bed will be comfortable even to slightly minus temperatures, but, in our opinion, the comfort limit of sleeping on the upper bed is about 10 degrees Celsius (unless you use a warm sleeping bag).
Unfortunately, there is no such possibility but we are still working on such a solution.
In our opinion, yes. Considering that we choose the Wavecamper model without a full bathroom and shower (only with an outdoor shower) the water intake during use will be small. As a result, we have resigned from the need to install 2-3 times larger tanks under the vehicle, which in turn force the camper to move to the source of water intake/discharge for filling or emptying. Very often this can be inconvenient, as you must fold down the roof, roll up the awning, secure everything in the vehicle, turn the seats to drive, and so on. Therefore, we came up with the idea that it would be more advantageous to refill water from a canister than to install large tanks and rearrange the vehicle each time. The campers we offer have another hygienic advantage. They are definitely easier to clean or replace the tanks with new ones if needed. The color of the water being refueled is also visible and the volume of water allowed to “bloom” is lower. In our opinion, the use of large permanently mounted tanks makes sense only in campers equipped with full sanitary facilities including a shower cabin.
No, the flush has a separate tank built into the top of the toilet.

Yes, it is possible to implement a “hot water” package in the VW T6.1 Wavecamper, which consists of a 12V boiler (3L), an additional clean water tank mounted under the vehicle (68L)*, a canister in the furniture box (16L instead of the standard 19L), and the installation of hot water in the kitchen sink and outdoor shower.

*not possible in combination with Seikel ProAir Suspension.

Yes, there is a gas installation that powers the stove as standard.
Our gas system is adapted for the use of cylinders of the renowned Campingaz brand. Depending on the model of the body, these will be cylinders with a capacity of 1.75 kg or 2.8 kg.
Considering the occasional use of the stove (water for coffee or tea, reheating meals 1-2 times a day), such a bottle will last up to several months. More intensive use of the stove will naturally shorten this time.
Our campervans usually offer 500 to 700 kg of vehicle loading capacity, depending on the base car model, selected options, conversion versions and, of course, the number of seats. Base car manufacturers offer options to increase the vehicle’s GVW for an additional charge.
